Yala National Park
Yala National Park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons boarding the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. It’s a home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants, crocodiles as well as hundreds of bird species with a total of 32 species of mammals as per the record. Inland, Sithulpawwa is an ancient Buddhist monastery. Rock caves also contain centuries old rock paintings. Apart from Safari experience, Yala is a place to experience an authentic tented safari camping experience as well.
